Can the Tru Close Hinge be added to my existing gate?

Yes and no, the Tru Close Hinge is made to retrofit to existing gates but it needs to be a replacement to any existing hinges you have. You will need to remove your current hinges prior to installing the Tru Close Hinge. The reason is because different hinges will have different pivot points and cause one or both sets of hinges to either break or wear out prematurely.
